ORGANIZATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Associated with HCL Technologies Limited since July’ 2017

Currently designated as Deputy General Manager leading the Global Pricing Support for Application/ERS/BPO Pricing for HCL Tech.

Heading the Knowledge Management function within Business Finance to drive optimum pricing strategies and ensuring suitable internal checks.

Key Achievements:

Represent as Finance Advisor in Sales/Customer discussions on Commercial Construct and Contractual Framework.

Driving competitive commercial proposals for Application Services / ERS / BPO opportunities across geographies and spanning into varied pricing models.

Leading pricing strategy for emerging technologies like Internet of Things, RPA, Digital & Analytics, Cloud, & Cyber Security, forming integral part of HCL’s Mode-2 & Mode-3 strategy.

Successfully led multiple RnR deals (Risk Reward model) and IP Partnership contracts.

Integration of Pricing of new acquired entities into core pricing function of HCL, through standardization and common platform enablement.

Key enabler in driving automation in HCL’s pricing function with in-house and third-party tools.

Championed the project on BEAT, a new tax law in US impacting HCL’s profitability pursuant to intercompany transactions. This called for 250+ customer contracts & invoicing mechanism to be modified which was successfully accomplished leading to zero tax outgo.

Involved in HCL’s new offering MyPlace, an industry leading FaaS solution and carving out pricing strategy for the same.

Wipro BPS: Senior Manager - Business Finance.

BFM Head for 3 Line of Businesses constituting annual revenue of ~USD 200 Mn, reporting to Wipro BPS Finance Head:

  • Digital (KPO & Analytics)/ TTL (Travel, Transport & Logistics) and TSS (Tech Support Services)

Along with reporting to Finance Head, I had dotted line reporting to Heads of Business function as well. Have had a supervisory role since 2009 and got the chance to groom a good set of talent within BPS.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility towards working on RFI/RFP responses and pricing submissions. Played pivotal role in driving & winning multiple big deals, including deals in reverse auction & rebadging proposals.

Leading contract negotiations (MSA/SOW) with customers, on varied commercial, legal, compliance and operational aspects for pertaining to respective verticals.

Profitability Management and ownership of P&L with a drive to identify and implement all cost optimization/ revenue maximization levers. Augmented profits by rationalizing cost exposures & overheads...and optimizing service mix. In many instances, successfully achieved 3-6% margin increase from Priced margins within 1 year of winning the deal.

Driving automation towards FP&A aspect, with monthly MIS reports to be automated. Variance analysis and Scorecard to be shared with business teams on proactive basis.

Got enriching experience during BFM support for Wipro’s Robotics offering (RPA) dealing with aspects of Bot Pricing and Robotics automation. Involvement in commercial models of Outcome based pricing/ Gain-share model for Emerging technology offerings.

Led BFM function for Healthcare & Pharma Vertical for 2 years…gaining exposure on varied aspects of vertical specific solutions. Was instrumental in winning a 300 people deal from a leading US manufacturer of Medical devices and getting services transitioned to Wipro’s Philippines delivery center.

Eminent role played in Wipro’s Rural BPS initiative, through the combination of Wipro owned delivery centers and subcontracting models.

Notable Attainment

Played instrumental role in securing a strategic deal with World’s most valued startup currently and leading cab aggregator globally ($30 Mn TCV) to establish Wipro’s footprint in MAPS business, including projects on autonomous cars.

Received valuable learning exposure on various research topics like International Finance, Evaluation of emerging business destinations, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Reporting, as part of Wipro’s 2 Years Future Managers (Cohort) Programmme’2006.

Recipient of CFO’s CATALYST Award for delivering stellar performance in HCL and CFO’s award in Wipro for “Best Deal Pursuit”.
